With more than 2,700 employees worldwide, we develop, produce, sell and service high-precision instruments for chemical analyses in the laboratory and in industrial production processes. We are present in over 90 countries, with subsidiaries or exclusive agencies.

To reinforce our 9 person UX Team in an international environment at our facilities in Metrohm DropSens (Asturias – Spain), we are looking for an experienced UX Engineer.

We are working with 12 scrum teams on our OMNIS Desktop Software for managing our Metrohm laboratory instruments. Spoiler: We have robots! Don’t worry, no chemical knowledge is needed for this position.

About the Role:

We are looking for a new team member with a diverse set of skills in the field of human-centered design methods, user research and conceptual UX design. You will work with cross-functional teams (product owners, business analysts, software developers, testers) and collaborate with your colleagues from the UX Team. Are you a curious, proactive and empathetic team player? Then you might be the right person for us.

Your key responsabilities:

You will be responsible for selecting and applying the appropriate UX methods in your cross-functional team.
You will conduct requirement analyses and shape digital product concepts and designs.
You will review these concepts with the UX team, software developers, lab specialists or product managers.
You will communicate with stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and ensure the most valuable features find their way into the backlog.

Skills:

Several years of working experience with human-centered design methods (e.g. User Research, Prototyping etc.).
Analytical skills and quick understanding of complex situations.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced English speaking environment.
Ability to produce clear and concise presentations and reports (in English).
Flair for design and experience in using design and prototyping tools.
High English language level required. Spanish medium-level.
