Screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) are electrochemical platforms manufactured by printing a wide variety of inks over different substrates allowing rapid on-site analysis with high reproducibility, sensitivity and accuracy.

Main features:

Single to use sensors that eliminate the electrode maintenance. Specially designed to work with microvolumes, this inexpensive miniaturized solution presents high reproducibility making them ideal for working in decentralized assays or to develop (bio)sensors in environmental, clinical or agri-food areas. The different modifications applied to the working electrode provide an enhanced active area and improve the electron-transfer properties.

Possible applications:

Designed to improve the electroactive area of the electrode to increase the electronic transfer properties and to make easier the latter immobilization of biomolecules such as oligonucleotides, antibodies, proteins, etc. Suitable for detecting two signals simultaneously allowing differential measurements of two analytes in the solution. Also,this electrochemical platform is useful for developing other (bio)sensing applications in multiple sectors and fields.
