Single to use sensors that eliminate the electrode maintenance. Specially designed to work with microvolumes, this inexpensive miniaturized solution presents high reproducibility making them ideal for working in decentralized assays or to develop (bio)sensors in environmental, clinical or agri-food areas. The different modifications applied to the working electrode provide an enhanced active area and improve the electron-transfer properties.
Electrocatalysts for the electrochemical oxidation of small organic molecules such as carbohydrates, amino acids and alcohols. Also,this electrochemical platform is useful for developing other (bio)sensing applications in multiple sectors and fields.
For best results in catalytic processes, pretreatment of the electrode is recommended:
Electrochemical method: cyclic voltammetry.
Supporting electrolyte: 0.1M NaOH (50µL).
Conditions:
teq = 3″; nScan = 15
E0 = + 0.1 V; Evrtx,1 = + 0.7 V; Evrtx,2 = + 0.1 V
Estep = 2 mV; Srate = 50 mV/s
Then wash the electrode with ultrapure water.
The design, geometry, substrate material, size, inks or modification of this reference can be customized under your specifications and produced in large quantities upon request. This modification can also be applied to 4WE and 8WE format SPEs. For more information please contact us at info.dropsens@metrohm.com
